Dr Shannon Spencer BVSc (Hons 1)

Veterinary Associate

Dr Shannon SpencerShannon graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 and went on to work as a mixed practice veterinarian in Warrnambool, Victoria. After three years she and her partner set off to travel and locum around Australia. She particularly loved the opportunity to work in and explore Darwin and Katherine.

The southern island of New Zealand provided a cool contrast from Australia’s tropics and this was her next veterinary base for several months.

Over the last two years Shannon has gained invaluable small animal experience working in a number of veterinary clinics in the UK before finally returning to Australia.    Shannon enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but is especially interested in soft tissue surgery and general medicine. She is looking forward to expanding her studies in the area of canine reproduction.

Beyond work and travel, Shannon loves the outdoors and hiking as well as culinary pursuits. Her gracefully aging Border Collie Pippa has kept her close company over the last 12 years and now looks forward to a quiet retirement in the Southern Highlands.
